The "Gone Fishing" license plate features South Carolina's most popular saltwater gamefish, the red drum. The license plate portrays the importance of saltwater recreational fishing in South Carolina and serves as a symbol of fisheries conservation. Funds from the sale of the plate will be used to help protect and conserve South Carolina's valuable marine resources.

The cost of the plate is $75.00 in addition to the regular registration fee. All South Carolina citizens are encouraged to purchase this special license plate to ensure the sustainability of our coastal resources for future generations.
